PeyBack Foundation supports The Cycle Effect

Eagle, CO: The PeyBack Foundation recently awarded The Cycle Effect a first time grant for their work with local young women in their after-school mountain bike program.peyback-foundationThe connection between sports and education is reinforced through the mission of The Cycle Effect, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young women (ages 12-18) through mountain biking to achieve brighter futures and build stronger communities. The program is offered two days a week for 10 months, offering over 80 days of mountain bike training, nutritional education, mentorship, community service, goal-setting and college-prep.Peyton Manning established the PeyBack Foundation in 1999 to promote the future success of disadvantaged youth by assisting programs that provide leadership and growth opportunities for children at risk. Emphasis is placed on programsthat are intended to enrich the lives of disadvantaged youth through activities conducted outside the typical school day, just like The Cycle Effect’s after-school mountain bike program. The PeyBack Foundation has provided more than $10 million of impact to at risk youth through its grants and programs since its inception to Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana and Tennessee., The Cycle Effect will work with close to 75 athletes this year in Eagle and Summit Counties and provide a mountain bike program valued at $5000+ to its participants for $140 each. Of the young women that have been involved in the program for 3 years or more, 100% of the participants have gone to college. Many are the first in their families to attend.“We are honored to receive funding from such an impactful foundation whose goals and vision we truly align with.
