Welcoming Four New Leaders to Our Board of Directors

We’re thrilled to announce the newest additions to The Cycle Effect Board of Directors! Please join us in welcoming Anne Walters, John Keane, Brandy Reitter, and Randi Borgen; four passionate and experienced leaders who bring diverse backgrounds and deep commitment to our mission of empowering young women through mountain biking.

“We are excited about the future and the growing impact we’re having across Colorado,” said Board Chair Elizabeth Walker. “These new board members bring incredible energy, vision, and heart to our work.”

Each of these individuals brings something unique to the table:

  • Anne Walters has been volunteering with The Cycle Effect since 2020 and currently serves as Senior Director of Development at Vail Health Foundation. With a strong background in nonprofit leadership, Anne also helped launch a mountain biking program for girls with Girl Scouts in Minnesota.

“It’s been a joy to volunteer with The Cycle Effect since 2020, and I’m honored to join the board,” Anne shared. “The Cycle Effect’s mission of empowering young women through mountain biking to create brighter futures and build stronger communities strongly resonates with me.”

  • John Keane is a longtime Vail Valley resident and investor in clean energy startups. With over a decade of nonprofit board experience, John is excited to help support the personal development of young women through sport.

“I joined The Cycle Effect board and support the organization financially because my wife, Anne-Marie, and I believe in the value of helping to develop young women through mountain biking,” said Keane.

  • Brandy Reitter, Executive Director of the Colorado Broadband Office, brings deep public service experience and a passion for connecting underserved communities. As a Colorado native, she knows how impactful outdoor opportunities can be for young women growing up here.

“As a young woman growing up in Colorado, I would have loved to join a program like The Cycle Effect. They are making a huge difference in these young girls’ lives and the larger community,” said Reitter. “It’s an honor to help The Cycle Effect grow its impact in the communities I care deeply about.”

  • Randi Borgen is a former coach and athlete who has spent over 20 years supporting nonprofit initiatives in the valley. She's deeply committed to creating positive community change and helping girls discover their confidence through sports.’

“I’m excited to be working with The Cycle Effect to create a meaningful impact on the girls who participate in our programs,” said Borgen. “Anytime you can get a girl excited about sports, I’m all in.”

We’re so grateful to have Anne, John, Brandy, and Randi join our leadership team. Their guidance will help us expand our reach and deepen our impact as we continue to grow. You can see our full Board of Directors team here.

Together, we ride further.
