Welcome Erik Garcia!
We are excited to announce a new board member to The Cycle Effect. Erik Garcia joined our board in December 2015. Erik moved to the valley in 2000 with his sister and mother. He lived in Edwards and attended Berry Creek Middle School, Battle Mountain High School and Colorado Mesa University where he received a B.S. in Construction Management. Erik has worked as an estimator fo R.A. Nelson since 2011. He grew up playing soccer for the Vail Valley Soccer Club, and played four years for Battle Mountain. Growing up he also ran track for two years. He has three younger brothers who live in town, as well as a wife and two kids (ages 3 and 5). He is a passionate soccer coach for Vail Valley Soccer Club, Berry Creek Middle School and COPA Edwards. He has always valued education growing up and received a full scholarship to Colorado Mesa University from the Guardian Scholars. He speaks to High Schoolers about college every year and helps organize the Eagle-Vail Turkey Trot through R.A. Nelson. He is an avid mountain biker and is excited to give back to The Cycle Effect as he has seen first-hand how the program has changed the lives of so many young women.Please help us in welcoming Erik!
